Oh my mercy I love those colors. I have heard nothing but good about the Roman Szmal paints.

This is exactly the type of review I benefit from. Most reviewers just swatch. I want to see how the paint works and what the artist thinks as s/he is going along. Bravo, again, Louise. The painting is beautiful.

The bloopers really ground me. 😅 while watching the video I'm in awe and think how could I ever do this gorgeous work? Then the bloopers appear and I'm like oh maybe I have a shot. My cat likes to walk across my desk, step in the paint and my daughter sings pjmasks. Thank you for bringing a smile and sharing your skills with us. ❤

What I really like about this video, is that when you were introducing the paints, you said only technical aspects of the paint (transparency, in this case). So many, many times I saw youtubers starting to sound like overly excited advertisers as soon as they touch a gifted paint, even if they didn't really worked with it. I appreciate the restrain.

Every painting has my full and delighted attention as you work your magic. Those colors are magnificent! It’s so exciting to me to see them mix and blend together. I find the Danial Smith to have that rich, creamy texture and must always be careful not to pick up too much pigment. I’m now seeing the convenience of the tubes over the pans. I’m watching everything I can find of yours….🤗💖👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Wonderful information about a paint I know nothing about. You have inspired me to take out my Sennelier tubes and paint an entire work with them as they too are heavily pigmented and made with some honey. ( I am usually a Winsor Newton gal)I love vibrant deep colour and layers and lots of petals so this was wonderful to watch. The cat made me howl! Thanks for still keeping your bloopers in at the end. I think many of us can hardly wait for the laugh after the ahhh of watching you paint.

So glad you tried these paints; I've asked for them for my birthday in June (translation: I'm ordering them in a few days and will let Hubs know he's getting them for my birthday in 2 months) because I first heard about their vibrant colors, single-pigment quality and light-fastness from Cindy Crick and decided I just had to have a couple - okay, a set. I suppose it would be impractical to have tutorials using these, as not too many students would rush out and buy them, but I might just be using them instead of some of the standard colors, just for the fun of it, because that's just me. And meow, the cat apparently DID mind, but like the dogs in my house, we wait till they're done, then it's our turn, as it should be.... :) LOVE the Szmal Flower 😁😁😁😁😁

Lol- 😅. Thank you Amanda. My Leo doesn't get down into the studio much. He's too mischievous. When he was younger he ate some yellow paint and I had to hold him under the tap while I washed his mouth out. That was fun 🥴.

Roman Szmal is one of my favorite brands❤. Ask the Jackson’s reps for Aquarius Green ❤️🔥💚💓. One of the many spectacular colors they have. Then ask if they can send you some A Gallo paints, my other favorite brand. From Assisi, Italy, handmade, honey-based single pigment paints. Gorgeous!❤. Pricey, much more expensive than Szmal, but beautiful to work with. Only come in half pans though. Well worth trying. 😊 Thank you for always sharing.

Lovely colors, Louise! When I transitioned from beginner paints, I started with Mission Gold. They are very vibrant and honey based. I’ve used honey based watercolor ever since. I’m amazed at how you can get away with brown on your flowers without making them look wilted. Lovely painting! The kitty is just adorable!

Those colors are beautiful and I would love to try them. Can I put that type of watercolor in front of a fan to dry or would that be detrimental? For a bit of context, we're heading into summer in the Midwest (US) and the humidity here is breathtaking at times. So, I wondered about the dry time for a medium designed to remain wet longer. Also, I literally laughed out loud when your cat began meowing. Your bloopers are hysterical.
