Did you go to college to learn what you know or was it self taught

I did go to college....but all the useful stuff I have learnt was gained by working for other companies/heritage gardens before starting on my own. I couldn't be where I am without that. College is fine...but...most courses are theory based and to really know gardening you need to get your hands dirty!
