Are you using heat gun or hairdryer? I thought heat gun was too hot for paper and what is your substrate for this ripple demo

Very nice! Are you using heat gun or hairdryer? I thought heat gun was too hot for paper, what is your substrate

I’m using a craft heat gun on the low setting, it does have the potential to warp paper but I try to keep it moving and not concentrate one an area too long, seems to help. I’m looking to get a hair dryer with a cool setting. I’m using Grafix Craft Plastic as a substrate 😃 hope this helps!

hi, may I know if you recommend the absolute beginner start with ripples or something smaller like flowers? I really like ripples but I find it hard to make a decent one like yours.

Hello! It took a bit of time with ripples for me too, it takes lots of practice b/c the inks have a mind of their own 🤪 I’d suggest lots of practice with the inks… just abstract forms to start, and you’ll learn how they flow in your environment

@@MadelieneArt thanks ;) I spear time to practice a bit every day recently

Is your blower on a cold setting? my ink dries before I get ripples and it's on a low heat setting. Also, are you using plain alcohol or blending solution? Thank you, I'm a total beginner so I have no idea!

Hi Linda! I use it on the low setting but it still generates lots of heat, so I try to move it quickly so the heat doesn’t warp the paper. I use plain alcohol and I flood the inks with lots of it so it doesn’t dry out too fast! I hope this helps! Thanks for watching 🥰
