I just stumbled into this video and it answered a very important question I had for a couple of years now. That is 'masking' alignment, Thank you very much. Is it possible for me to "chamfer or fillet" the edges created by the masking so it truly represent a highway layout. Thank you once again.

What does selecting the alignment layer do? You selected C-road center for this. Why?
