Quick note, if you're using Studio version of Resolve you can skip this entire tutorial and just use Analog Damage and it'll do it all for you 😆

the stop motion effect seems great to produce a super 8 film look (sort of 18 fps look), thanks for the tips!
@MrAlexTech4 жыл бұрын
Yeah certainly! I did originally plan to just change the Timeline framerate to 16 for this effect, but that becomes difficult when you only want a small section to be 'film'. That's where the Stop Motion came in handy instead :)

Good job alex thank you. Great effect. Can you do the same with the "dream flashback" effect with the free version of DV?

I'm sure you could yeah. There's a 'Glow' effect that would work well. I'll see what I can do :)

Fantastic tutorial MrAlexTech (at least)! And I like the new studio lighting. Quick question - do you use an external drive for your DR database(s) or are they stored on your main drive? I wish power bins were universal on whatever drive you happened to be using.

I'm fine with the old film look, and there are plenty of free overlays for various vintage looks, VHS, Super 8 etc. But what about damaged or vintage sound ?
@shaunegan61114 жыл бұрын
Gr8 vid. Can do the effect for where there is multiple shots. Example is in the destined for greatness music video. Have like curved rectangle things
@MrAlexTech4 жыл бұрын
Yeah the adjustment clip will just apply the effect to anything underneath it on the timeline. That's how I did the intro 🙂👍

Interesting but and pro editors would create their own LUT. That is best practice. It would be more interesting on showing how to create the LUT itself.
