At 1.25min, when you're insetting the faces of the roof, how do you prevent the corners from crossing each other? When I do it, I don't have much room before they cross each other.

After inset, You could scale before extruding..

Select the edges and press Ctrl +B to bevel ..then unhide(Alt+H) the hidden (H) objects
