Creating Astrophotography Mosaics Using Photoshop Photomerge

There are numerous ways to stitch Astrophotography panels together in a Mosaic. In this video, I will show you a simple way to merge panels using Photoshop Photomerge. I will demonstrate this technique on a simple 2 panel mosaic of the California Nebula and a more complex seven-panel mosaic of the Veil Nebula complex.

Thanks for the video, I was wondering if I could do mosaics without shelling out more money for extra programmes. It means I can do Orion with my astro modded 700D and Takumar 55mm f2.

Great information, I never knew! I did a 2 Panel Mosaic in DSS and opened the result in PS, The area of overlap is much darker after some processing. How do you equal this out. Maybe do a Mosaic in DSS and process in PS, that would be a good video for you to make.

Excellent. I just looked at a method using Pinxinsight to merge Mosaics which would take a long time and I don't have that software. I have Photoshop so this method will be perfect. Thanks

I'm curious how the stars are? i know photoshop doesn't use them as reference, so wondered if you ended up with duplicated or bloated stars at the seems?

Good, but is there a reason why you don't merge them already in APP ?

No reason just wanted to show another method for those who don't have APP. I will say that Photoshop merges much faster with and does as good of a job.
