I also think that you would benefit from having a Dremel to carve with. This would allow you to do all of the details on your wooden ornaments. Wishing you both a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Yes, your chisel is too large. There are inexpensive small chisel sets available at Amazon for wood carving. Small rasps come in sets too. Some are curved which helps with small areas and may work better than a chisel to smooth it out.

Your angel is so beautiful. It looks so pretty above your door! The other ones you made will be fine, just use some wood glue and with your talent and a bit of paint they’ll be perfect! The wreath with the angel for the church was so thoughtful of you and Sergi. Since you have two doors in the front maybe make a wreath for each door and place them in the center of each door that way they won’t get in the way of the opening door.🎄

Hey! Recycling is always a good job! Nobody will turn up their noses at recycled wood. As always, your artwork is marvelous! The angel is beautiful! What about some small bell shapes out of the wood? Gold and glitter would be pretty on the tree.

Alla, you're a genius! Your recycled angels are perfect! Treat yourself to a Dremel drill. (note: Sergi Christmas present for Alla) It'll change your life! It's a must for a creative person like you. You can add sanding/filing attachments that you can use for things like smoothing and shaping your decoration carvings... I use mine a lot for drilling fine holes, sanding, buffing etc 👌

We have a cordless (battery powered) flex-shaft Ryobi rotary tool (it's still not possible to buy it in EU but I managed to get second hand one through Ebay (it's Home-depot exclusive I believe)). Alla renovated the carvings on the fireplace with it and I am using it for polishing quite often - amazing little thing! 🤝
