Hello! thanks a lot for this video! can you please advice ne on a related aspect? I am an internal IT auditor. I want to define my own set of rules and scan the Azure subscriptions in scope for the audits, against my set of rules to determine compliance. how do I do that? I need to create my own Azure subscription and I define that list of policies in Defender? I am afraid that if I directly check the Defender of the audited Azure subscription, might be that the owner of that subscription did not define a certain policy in there, that I have interest in. I am confused :)

liked and subscribed! thanks WintellectNOW. I had a use case, can i create an azure policy to restrict any service principal that has the "Owner" role assigned, to NOT cancel a subscription or move/rename the subscription? Would you be able to help me with the custom Azure policy? thanks a lot!

I'm not sure I would even know where to begin on that... Azure policy doesn't really check the credentials or RBAC of those adding or removing things. I would recommend turning on locks for things you don't want removed in any case.

In Definition add policy Definition - in definition location, I can't find anything in subscription? I want to pay for that? Or what else?

The policy definitions are applied at a subscription for a scope. That means everything in the subscription is subject to the policy.
