Wow, absolutely great source of information! Glad you were able to do this interview as it has a wealth of knowledge and experience I'm still trying to digest. Matt's colors are absolutely beautiful!

So nice to live in an age where artistic resources are so plentiful yet still professionally presented. Thanks.

Excellent video! I really loved seeing the example of how adding the glow and color holds at the beginning with the she-ra piece would look. I love hearing about people's processes.

This was great KMR! Thank you to you and Matt Wilson! You have REALLY been killin it lately with the content and I don't mean just frequency but the substance. I was just coloring a piece the other day and in my mind I hearing your tips about adding atmosphere between the background and foreground elements to create the appearance of distance. And I indeed Bob Ross'd it and had a couple "happy accidents that really helped to make it cool lol

Damn! I used to work for a guy as a co-comic flatter and one of the comics I flatted was paper girls. It's so mindblowing!!

Does it help to have thin "ink lines"? My style right now relies on heavier lines, but should that change to better accommodate better colors?
@colorwithkurt4 ай бұрын
Does it help what? :) It doesn't matter what style you draw in. Certain coloring styles might lend themselves to certain art styles but there's no right answer.

Love the video. What exactly is a color hold? Is that just when u add those glows for your effects?
@Spleemce5 жыл бұрын
It's when you change the lineart colour from black to some other colour.
