Sean I really appreciate that you do all your tutorials in Photoshop instead of Lightroom because I can take what I’ve learned and apply it to other applications.

Been using the filters in Silver Efex for years. I used to help produce the image as I envisioned it. As far as b&w film, I have always been partial to Tri-X and still use on occasion today. You did a nice job detailing your procedure as the comments indicate.

Thanks so much Sean! Brilliant like always. As someone who has been practicing for a while but am still not content with where I am in my own portraiture I would love to see a video from you about angle of light and light placement. With one light and a modifier and possible two lights. I love how you place the rim light right across the cheek. I know you are busy but just an idea. Thanks so much for everything you do.

I am so appreciative for this entire series, because I really love photography but hate the post-editing process due to the software complexity that felt unnecesarily too elaborate and took away from my enjoyment of digital photography. So I really appreciate the clarity and simplicity in how you broke down the steps for a normal-person out there. Many thanks :)

Hello Sean. Great video as usual. Just a quick question since idk when I'll be able to check it myself. If we use a gradient filter on a coloured photo, and then blend it for luminosity, will it work to bring up some contrast? I really liked what it did to the b&w image.
