Creating Gel Prints with Posca Pens, Paint and your Gelli Plate | Tutorial Video

This was a fun video using Posca Pens and Dylusions paints. The colors I used in this video are:
Posca Pen: Violet 12 / bullet shaped /0.9-1.3 mm
Dylusions Paints: Fresh Lime, Sour Appletini, Mushy Peas (greens), Calypso Teal, London Blue (blues)

Love the idea of turning the gelli plate right onto the journal pages. Ive been wanting to add gelli plate to my art practice, but i dont do much collages and didnt really want to have a ton of printed papers laying around. This video has really helped with that. Now, i would feel much better about trying out the gelli plate art and putting it right onto my sketchbook! Thank you!

Do you let the paint try in between layers?

Hi there. Thanks for your question. Yes, I do let it dry a bit so when you apply your next layer it doesn't distort the last layer.

Mÿ markers always bead up. ...any tips?

Honestly that has only happened to me once. I used a paper towel and cleaned up the sides and then pushed down on the tip gently to get some more ink to come out of the tip. After that it seemed fine. Hopefully something like that helps. The pens are water-based so maybe something like that would work.
