This is amazing and means I don't have to pay $3000 a year for a company to do this for me. This is my first time using formulas other than =SUM so I appreciate the step by step. I also added in John's column so they can't see the full sessions. My form has more than one question. Do I create a separate tab in the response document for each one? Thanks.

Hey Jennie great video. Clever reverse manipulation of the process. Can the option be disabled once the limit has been reached? If I understand correctly, this method still allows persistent respondents to submit. Looking forward to your reply.

Hi, thank you so much for this very useful tool. However, I'm having a problem using this with multiple checkboxes. The counting works if only one box is checked but when multiple "sessions" or boxes are checked they are not counted. Is there another formula that I could use to take this into account? Or do I need to create a column for each "session" or check box?

Great video! my question is will this work when you have LOTS of sessions? I want to use it for students to sign up for enrichment sessions each day of the week. There will be 20 or so sessions per day. I found that formLimiter was not quite powerful enough and looking for more powerful alternative. Thank you

I got started working on this a couple of nights ago and it looked like the formulas in the sheets were working fine in terms of accepting the formulas. (NOTE: the formranger, however, wasn't updating the form and issuing my session full message.) Came back today and now the sheets are throwing up formula parse errors! Same for the "Revised" column; now it's got parse error messages, too. Pretty darn frustrated!

When the form is posted and it has reached the limit, the form shows "this date is full please choose another". But this form was the last one to be posted and was able to submit the date. I think this would be confusing to the person submitting the form. How do you correct the form submitted?

Nice. I want to add multiple questions with limits to be set.Same form, Multiple sections.Using check boxes(I want one person to choose 3 slots out of 5 in one question and 4 slots out of 9 in the second question). And can we combine the responses of multiple forms in a single spreadsheet with the limits set? Please help me with this.
@johnmaconi43597 ай бұрын
What happens if the limit is 20 and more than 20 click on the choice at roughly the same time? We are planning on using this for out students to sign up for movies on the last day of school with a 20 student limit for each movie. We are going to send out the link at a specific time later this week and the kids will sign up. If 23 all pick the same movie, does it allow more than the 20 that we set as a limit? If not, how do those who did not click submit fast enough know that they need to sign up for a different choice? Thank you very much if anyone can answer this for me.

Hi quick question. I have a google form that after first question using the formranger tutorial you showed takes you to another page inside the google form instead of next page. However, when the form updates, the go to specific page is deleted and all options after selecting the multiple choice go back to default which is next page. Why does that happen and how do I fix it?

Once a person has typed their name in a timeslot, when someone else opens the form up later in order to add their name, can they accidently change the previous entry? Is there a way to prevent a previous entry from being wiped out?

Do you know if it is possible to have more than 1 question when using formRanger? I have a teacher who wants to use this for students to sign up for their 6 hours of the day. Can you have a question for hour 1, hour 2, hour 3, hour 4 with math, science, ela, & SS as the options. When the class reaches 30, I want to close that class for that hour. All the examples I've seen only have 1 question.

Did you ever happen to figure out a way to use form ranger with more than one question on a form?
@KevinBoutelle7 жыл бұрын
I use this and have multiple session times. So there are 4 session times (4 questions) each session time just needs its own tab on the response spreadsheet so that you can set up that question properly.

So I used this method last year for a workshop registration and it worked great. We re-used it for this year's registration, which just opened today, and there are some issues with it, now. We have checked Refresh Questions on form submit option for all of the sessions for which our students can register, but this year, we're getting an problem when more than one student attempts to register for a class that closes when the first student submits - the registration line for the remaining student(s) attempting to register for the now-full class are blank for that option. Last year the student was returned to the form to re-select another option. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Hy Jennie, is there a way that when a person signs for a session with a limit of one person per session her/his name will show up instead of "choose another, session is full"
@JenniferMagiera7 жыл бұрын
That would be quite challenging as you won't be able to predict which row their response would come into so would have to do a complicated VLOOKUP or other formula. Perhaps instead you could use Calendar Appointment Slots? support.google.com/calendar/answer/190998?hl=en
