How did you format the data into columns on R studio? Mine was originally in columns but when inputted into R it turned into texts on lines

Thanks for the comment! Basically the tildes are part of the formula. In this case I believe they tell the order of the operations so, lat=~long means start with the left and go right in that order. You can also type help("~") in the console window to get more information on how they work. Hope that helps!

Hi, good tutorial, but it would be helpful to show how you got the data from Wikipedia into R Studio.

Thank you for the comment. Since it was a small data set just for illustration, I just copied in the data into a text file and imported it into R. But one could most likely write a Python script to scrape it out as well. I'll work on that and see what I can do which is a little bit more sophisticated and better for larger data sets. Appreciate it!
