I think you could experiment maybe with more body shapes like rectangles and pears etc, because I think that abbey bominable is more of a rectangle shape and that was something very unique about her, also, both she and laguna maybe should have been a little more toned since that’s kind of the look that they originally had, and it makes sense for laguna because she’s kind of a hardcore swimmer lol

I appreciate your comment. this video wasn’t to get too technical about what their body shapes were exactly, but to use more of my larger body presets that I have. if you use body presets you understand they’re so hard to make look just like the thumbnails 🥺

I don’t think “skinny” or “slim” are exclusive to those imaginary species. they can be whatever body shape the creator. also I don’t think this is beneficial to literally anyone. I will continue to make my sims however i please. and if you don’t like them, that’s ok.

god i hate G3, i’m personally glad you mainly stuck to G1…i mean i kinda of like their new designs, but they’re like completely new ghouls now, i just really dislike it. i mean i do like their more diverse body types and a bit more inclusivity with lgbtq+ and neurodivergency, but still… ALL of your redesigns are super adorable though oh my goodness >w< i love draculaura even in g3, so she was gonna be good to redesign regardless cos she’s just like that

your sims are so pretty! just wanted to mention that ghoulia does not need a translator in g1. everyone understands her. ghoulia's zombie moans are also used as inside jokes (ghoulia explaining something in zombie, so they don't actually have to say it, stuff like that). abbey is just a close friend of ghoulia's

Valhallan sims made these amazing like tusk teeth accessories that I think I’m gonna add to Abbie when I download her, that’s the only thing I’d probably add to any of these looks they’re all super cute! V happy you stayed closer to lagoona’s gen 1 look I was so sad with all her gen 3 changes ;-; but honestly anything’s better than gen 2 🤣🤣🤣

lol yeah i agree that lagoonas changes were quite drastic. also i saw the tusks, but though they'd be way too big for her face and make her look more scary than cute. i have plans for those tusks in the future though😁

Your sims are eating as usual. Animals as sims would be so cute😩. But don't stress yourself out! And although i appreciate gen 3 for the body inclusivity, I just can't help but find that the fashion, redesign(why is clawdeens skin lighter??!?), and changing of the backstories just isn't it for me personally. And coming from someone who grew up whatch almost all of the monster high movies and the show, I feel like the whole point of Monster High has always been inclusive, other than their body types, because it was a school for an "othered" group(monsters) all of which were very unique and from so many different mashups of different cultures and accents. And I feel like gen 3 almost put them in boxes. But most of all WHY IS CLAWDEEN'S SKIN LIGHTER??!?!? Sry I went on a rant but this been building up inside and I loved monster high as a young child and this video awakened my love for them. And clawdeen is lesbian btw.

i like that idea even more. I really didn't understand why they would have her talking after some time, which was why it made me think of the walking dead and another movie where the zombies just started talking all of a sudden.

Just wanted to pop in to say, I am also autistic and Ghoulia was never nonverbal! She actually spoke a different language entirely that was taught in their Dead Language course. She speaks Zombie, which Cleo knows and eventually all the Ghouls learn to communicate to Ghoulia too. I understand wanting representation for autism and being nonverbal, but Ghoulia is not meant for us, and was meant for people who struggle with language barriers. We did get amazing representation in G3 through Twilia. She is openly autistic, stims, struggles socially, gets overstimulated and uses her Boogeyman powers to make accommodations for herself. It's really cool :)

She's still half Romanian, but they also made her half Taiwanese because Taiwan has very unique ties to the legend of vampires and witchcraft! It's really cool how they were able to take the very flat inspirations from G1 and flesh them out more for G3

These designs were really interesting! Would you mind doing their G3 designs? I think these are interesting but they lean very G1 and kind of take away some of the representation of G3 :( Also, Draculaura is Romanian/Taiwanese in G3 and does not have an accent because they wanted to make her less stereotypical bc Romanian fans were upset that she played into that in G1/G2. Their body types are also super important in G3 with how diverse they are

Okokok please hear me out, I HATE G3 Lagoona. Like I NEVER see well represented Australian characters which G1 Lagoona was, so for them to just completely erase that bc they were trying so hate to capitalise off representation for money (which is literally what the reboot is) is so frustrating. Like you can make a new character/ sea monster to represent the culture/ race (I don’t remember) that they made G3 Lagoona like if you really wanted Lagoona to show rep why not make her a native Australian bc I don’t think I’ve ever heard of an American who knows anything abt aboriginal culture. It’s just so frustrating to me, also just like her name is Lagoona Blue, why is she now pink 😭😭😭

It would be amazing to get an aboriginal character, but I would like to point out that G1 Lagoona had very little representation for her monster origin and did not reflect anything other than the Australian surfer girl stereotype. G3 has a focus on diversity, but more importantly, they wanted their ghouls to have more accurate representation to the culture and lore that their monsters come from. G3 Lagoona was created with the Mariana Trench, Blue Lagoon, the Caribbean, and tales of sea monsters in Latin America/Spain in mind to more accurately represent her monster origins. She was made Pink because typically in warmer waters, fish are brighter colors! She was also not blue because of her last name, but her entire name is a reference to the Blue Lagoon in Scotland. It's kind of weird that G1 created an Australian character based off a lagoon in Scotland now that I'm thinking about it..

It was an honest mistake. I would never do this purposely. I have looked it up though and people were saying either/or is okay. That frankie’s g1/2 still exists and that is where frankie goes by she/her. Also I mixed the g1/3, so either pronouns work. That was my bad though 😥
