❤ this has been really informative and I’m glad to learn that things work just like I hoped they would plus it seems to have some more tricks up its sleeve. I love that note-trigger thing you did with Air Glide! Does the sustain pedal work with continuous pedals like the Rise 2 does? Looking forward to more in-depth info about the software side. I assume this is pretty much an Equator engine under that player hood? When will an updated Equator be announced, so we can bake our own sounds using Airwave? Please say it’ll be soon, can’t wait for that since I saw it in an early Andrew Huang video about Airwave!

Looking forward to more videos demonstrating the utility. On one hand (no pun intended), the seaboard is designed to have this expression built on a per note basis, so this seemed like a tough sell. On the other hand, the airwave seems like it balances the polyphonic sensitivity of the seaboard with a sort of "omniphonic" uniformity and stability, while maintaining similar responsiveness and intuitive control scheme. I can think of occasions where I struggled to get natural sounding swells with complicated chords on my seaboard block, which could plausibly be mitigated with something like the airwave.

Hey Alex, thank you for the comment. I hope you get to try one in the near future - let us know if there's anything specific you'd like to see from us!

90 Fps seems really fast. While the former demos on KZbin suggested that Airwaves is primarily for slow sound changes (very expressive nonetheless),it now seems viable to use it e.g. with the SWAM solo violin bowing mode, which in combination with the Seaboard seems like a way to create utterly realistic performance.

Hey Michael - thanks for your comments. Experientially it feels very immediate, without any noticeable delay!

Hi, i’m a big fan of your products and already own rise2, seaboard block and equator2(purchased it before i got my rise2) i’d like to use an airwave as a midi cc controller for orchestration. I want to assign modulation, expression and vibrato at the same time. My question is, can I control all these 3 at the same time with an airwave? Could you test this out for me?? If it works well, i would buy it straight. I would really appreciate it if you reply to me, thank you very much.
@WeAreROLI11 күн бұрын
Hey - thanks for the great question! Just to be clear, are you asking whether you'd be able to control modulation, expression and vibrato with the same gesture?
@thehappyboi917611 күн бұрын
@@WeAreROLIthanks for replying:) i’d like to know if i can control modulation, expression and vibrato with 3 different individual hand gestures simultaneously. I would like to know if airwave is a good tool for midi orchestration(spitfire audio, ew, and so on). Thank you very much again:)

Thanks for the follow up! We will check with our Airwave team and get back to you on this ASAP. Thank you for your patience.

So in answer to your questions - this is possible, you would just need to manually map the Air dimensions CCs to modulation, expression, and vibrato. Airwave is amazing for live performance, and would work really well with bringing in different layers in that context - but may not be the most accurate tool for MIDI orchestration in terms of production.

What is the oldest version of macbook that I can use the Roli Seaboard M with the Airwaves!?
@WeAreROLI14 күн бұрын
Hey Ezequiel - ROLI Airwave, when used with ROLI music creation software is compatible with the latest versions of both macOS and Windows. Only Apple Silicon (Apple M1 or later processor) is supported for macOS. Typically, our products work seamlessly with operating systems and DAWs released within the last 6 to 8 years. However, when testing new products and software updates, we prioritise newer OS versions over older OS versions.

@ cinematic progressive techno / house. This technology is amazing… I’m working on transitioning away from regular DJ equipment to using the Rise2 together with launch pad or something similar… who knows maybe a Akai Force or notation circuits to record YT live performances…
