You should place the cobblestone generator in front of something that can't be mined (bed rock) so when you mine the cobble stone, you can keep mining without stopping because you can't break the bedrock and so that a another cobble stone block will appear in front of the bedrock and break it and repeat the process. So basically you can continuously mine until your pick axe breaks, put tape on your mouse and go afk to farm the cobble stone. It will be handy to have a lot of cobble stone before the video, you can save our eyes from dying of you sitting there mining 20 or something blocks of cobble stone every time. Best to have a few pick axes ready to swap in after one breaks. Save your eyes and like this comment so josh can see

what I do is split the water and lava to get a double cobble generator and that way it just mines the second one when the first one isn't there

Josh, please. Use the water bucket to get under the sand and build a platform under the sand. The water does not disappear or run off the edge, the source block will always remain where you placed it. And placing the slabs "level" with the sand doesnt stop them from falling when you break the sand. Also, for mob grinder you dont use lava, you use fall damage. Build a high platform and enclose it. And use water to push the mobs to a hole they fall down and get hurt, making them one hit, or you can just get them to die, if youre not interested in xp, and that'll collect their loot. NO LAVA.

Sky block tips for Josh 1. Mobs will spawn in a dark are 25 blocks away from where you are currently standing 2. to do further down use a water fall and build down 3. you can technically put tree sapling right next to each other and the still grow but the best way to go is a 2 block gap between each sapling General Minecraft tips 1. Instead of holding left click while crafting and spread the blocks evenly hold right click so only one block is but in crafting table per cell while crafting things like swords and picks 2. There is an attack indicator below your crosshair, let that fully fill up before attacking the mob to do maximum damage (axes do more damage than swords but have a slower recharge time Like so josh can see

When mining the cobblestone, keep holding when your mining so you break it quicker. Remove the dirt block on the other-side where your standing from so you spam the mine button without breaking anything else in front of you :)

Tips: Bonemeal grass blocks, it'll give you grass that when punched could give you seeds. Killing a witch while its drinking its healing potion and making gulping sounds gives you the healing potion drops Making a stonecutter could be good for more efficiently making stone stairs. Store finite items the first chance you get eg. The spider's string, special seeds ect. Not everything you can make right away on the achievements you may have to explore more islands for another water bucket for an infinite water source. Animals spawn on grass blocks, make your base as wide as possible with grass blocks. Making a mob grinder is very useful, all you need to do is just a cobblestone box with no light inside and half slabs around the bottom so you can hit mobs while they can't hit you Build a small two block high little structure when attacking an enderman, they're three blocks high so can't reach under to get you. Also, don't look straight at an enderman's face, that makes them teleport around.

If you make the nether portal frame you can light it by spreading the fire from the lava using wooden planks. Make a trail of wood from the lava to the portal and place a plank in the portal.

To get iron you need to make automated iron farm with lots of doors as if you have around 40 doors it spawns villagers and you then need to put a zombie in view of the villagers so than they get scared and iron golems will spawn.(like so zerkaa can see)

Mobs do spawn on slabs, IF they are placed on the upper part of the block. Meaning that when you stand on the block your y-coordinate have to be .5. :)

You can get string a few ways depending on version of minecraft. Spiders is the obvious way, get string then make wool. Other way, animals spawn on grass... build a grass platform near your current one but far enough away that they can spawn. Alternatively not sure if it's a mod or not but if you hit leaves with a crook, they drop silkworms... click one back on the tree. Makes infected leaves which when broken with a crook drop string (again could be a mod, so not sure that will work)

Once you are further progressed, separate your tree farm and farm, as trees need no water and only need one block of dirt and no grass necessary. So creating a tree farm set up of maybe 6 blocks of dirt placed 6 blocks apart, would allow efficient and easy tree growth while not wasting dirt area for farm growth. Also passive mobs spawn on grass as long as it is far enough away, allowing access to sheep, pigs, cows, and etc.Hostile mobs require no grass just full blocks and darkness far enough away, thus can create a box in which to spawn hostile mobs.

Every time you complete an achievement the area you can use expands. You have to collect monuments in that aswell. It will help you get to grips with the game easier

For the mob killing idea you have, you should watch jelly's skyblock video. He creates a platform, and uses water to push all mobs into the centre which is a hole. The hole is a certain number of blocks above another platform in which the mobs fall onto and die, leaving behind their stuff. Hope it helps, live your vids

To make a mob spawner just build a structure in the sky with a 2x2 hole cut out of it, then place water flowing to the hole. The mobs will spawn and be forced down the hole if you place it high enough then the mobs will die and the loot will drop
