how is haaland even in this debate, if it’s based on longevity it’s aguero and if it’s prime season it’s suarez. People forget suarez didn’t take a single penalty in 13/14, he scored 31 goals and got 12 assists. Haaland got 29 non penalty goals and 7 assists after playing more minutes. Stats alone suarez trumps him then if we talk about the impact they had on the game and the level of the goals it’s not even close, suarez would score from nothing whereas the majority of haalands goals are in the box from passes.

Suarez was very good in the prem, but due to being there for such a short period of time it DQ's him for me. People seem to have a hard time disconnecting his time in Liverpool and Barca. Same with Ronaldo. Ronaldo is a top ten PL-player all time, but as with people who has Suarez rated highly, his peak, what you remember him for the most, was not in the prem. Aguero absolutely should be at the 9 in this XI

Not Really. Suarez at Barca really showed consistency at his peak level. But Suarez at Liverpool was the first-time people saw Suarez as the top 3-4 players in the world along with Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar. The thing about Suarez is people rate him only on his goals but even without the goals Suarez was a menace. And as an individual performance, Suarez had the best season in the 25 years I have watched EPL. That is the only reason why he is even considered in these ratings. He did not have a long time in the league but that one season blows away every other striker's single season by a mile.

People saying xabi alonso are deluded. Compare his and toure's premier league stints, and its not even close. Toure, 316 appearances for City, 79 goals 49 assists. Xabi alonso, 218 appearances, 18 goals 20 assists. Toure with city, 3 premier leagues, 1 Fa cup. Alonso, 0 premier leagues (and only a single top 2 finish), 1 fa cup. Yes, Alonso had a champions league with Liverpool, but the rest of his time there was middling at best. Even going off of performance and not statistics it was clear that toure was better. He was better on offence but still great defensively, and he dominated every other teams midfield. If you hear the quotes about him, people were scared to play against toure.

Alonso is a great player, but toure was miles ahead, especially in the prem. Everyone was afraid of toure, he dominated you defensively and even when attacking he was a massive threat. In 2013/14 alone he had 20 goals 9 assists in just the prem. Thats more goals than Alonso scored in 4 years at liverpool, and half the total assists (In a single season as a defensive midfielder). Yes, alonso had more trophies overall, but Toure still won a treble with barca, 3x premier leagues, and had way better individual accolades. He won best african player consecutively 4 years in a row. Imagine being the best player from a whole continent for nearly half a decade.

@ironheade22 You know that's a lie, Mane is a better dribbler and finisher. I rate Sterling since his Liverpool days. He had raw talent that Pep really cleaned up to an extent. Mane on the other hand, filled that Sterling void and became even more important for Liverpool. He was the catalyst for the Klopp era of success. He simply took Liverpool to another level and attacted more pieces to the puzzle for Klopp. Sterling, on the other hand, benefited from Aguero during his prime years at City. It all began to collapse for him once Aguero left, who is similar to Suarez in terms of facilitating a second forward like Sterling to get his fair share of chances.

@ftclips-qu8sh I'm not sure where you're getting these ideas from. Between 16/17-21/23, Sterling got more goals & assists and missed fewer big chances than Mane, Sterling wins on nearly every metric. In 19/20, Aguero was very injured and missed a lot of game time, Sterling still scored 30 goals, so clearly, he didn't need Aguero. In his last season for City he wasn't even bad. If we're looking at performances outside of City and Liverpool, we can look at Mane's pathetic season last year at Bayern

@@0xmoo De bryne plays more of an inside forward role nowadays…. And only has an impact on the attack. Souness was effective at both ends of the pitch. Souness could do what de bryne did, he was a brilliant dribbler and scored long range rockets with both feet 🤷‍♂️. He was also a leader of men, who’s best performances usually came in the biggest games. If it wasn’t for the European ban, he would have had 5 champions league titles rather than just winning three mate.

Lampard over Gerrard if the midfield is with Yaya and KDB. Gerrard was better at controlling the same and variety of passing. You don’t need that if you have Yaya and KDB. Lampard was better defensively, less reckless and a better goal scorer which is what arguably is the only “weakness” of Yaya and KDB. And before anyone cries, Lampard played for City
