Old trick from my Gma. Rub lemon juice (fresh or bottled) around the edge of paper, then burn. You end up with an antiqued, old paper edge!

Thanks for this tip, Wanda! I’ve been putting off doing the distressed paper part of the design on one of my tumblers for weeks because burning the plain paper edges is SOOOO tedious. I’m going to try doing it with lemon juice as soon as I finish this video. ❤️

Love love love this! Your husband will adore it! Thank you for sharing this! When you say that the resin may “smoke”, it won’t catch on fire, right? Dumb question, probably. Thanks again.

Thanks so much. I haven't scene resin catch on fire, but anything is possible. It is alarming when the resin smokes in a mold though.

This turned out SO beautiful! Could you please tell me which Chameleon colours you used? I actually loved all of them! It was heartbreaking when it started setting up so quickly and you had to scrape it out! But I would love to know which ones they all were please! Especially the one you finally ended up with in the last. I loved the bubbles! I had never seen that before! I am wondering if I would be able to try that with my Nouveau resin when it's pretty far along in its curing time. Thank you for such an interesting tutorial!

What a thoughtful and creative gift Clara! I like the bubbles in the ends also and wonder why the bubbles didn’t form in the middle. I think there is a Biblical reference to wormwood but not sure what it means.

You should have put a lolly stick in the resin standing up and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes and the resin would have pulled out in one piece

Why use a resin with such a short curing time?
@ClaraLawrence
@ClaraLawrence 2 жыл бұрын
Because your bubbles will pop and the resin naturally wants to self level. So if it cures before the bubbles pop then the texture is there.

Not enough info, so I'm going to guess here. Your resin has a long working time. This one has a working time of 15 minutes. A UV resin will also do this trick too.
