Love this style of collages , it’s like mixing old and new and I love incorporating fabric and laces. Giving me ideas. By the way try going to dress shops or stores that make prom dresses or bridal or evening gowns and ask for their fabric scraps . Most of them throw them away . I did that and the shop owner gave me 2 huge bags of fabric scraps with beautiful pieces of laces and fabric materials that could last me for years. Saved me lots of money. 😊

Thrilled to see this on my feed! Missing you very much. Our styles and aesthetic sensibilities are so different and I find yours to be such a breath of fresh air. Try as I might I never come close to creating the free flowing unselfconscious light and airy look that you achieve. Your use of color is so subtle! Gorgeous. Thank you for being you. And for sharing your hard work and many talents with us. 💜

I told my husband the other day that I have to be the slowest crafter. Everything has to fit, be coordinated and pleasing to the eye. Then I worry if the recipients will see something I missed. None of my friends craft, so anything they get they love. I’m sitting here now with bits and bobs, which are turning into clusters. Trying hard to just do and not fret.

Identified with your post ! The creations are heavenly and lightest of touch The first crafters I watched (junk journal) used inking heavily, added stamping, labels , extra collages, fussy cuts, numbers, lace, muslins, words etc all on the one botanical label. I was overwhelmed ; let alone not having the products. Seeing Ruby and Pearl was liberating .. the of lightest touch with gorgeous papers and joyful creativity I like to relax with a cuppa listening to Heather’s voice as she creates gorgeous gorgeousness. Bliss Australia 🙃🦘❤️

@@robinsutton4952I so relate to your comment. I have been practicing the fine art of not being so picky in my crafting. I tell myself that any selection I make will work and look lovely. I have so much product to work with that make choosing hard sometimes. But I am improving. While I love the details in my work and have a keen eye for detail I enjoy the free flow of selecting at random and just going with it. Here’s to your crafting continuing to be a joy to you as it is for me.

Recently found your shop and saw things on IG you created, I bought some of the vintage ladies on Etsy from your shop, as I was drawn to them..they so much look like photos of my grandma who was born in 1904 or mother born in 1921..and all of the family from that era. I also have several old photos of my family I need to be using now after watching you create! Now watching you create art from your work is truly a gift. Thanks so much for sharing and inspiring me!
