You could change your diamond tiles to a checkerboard system with solid diamond window tiles and then every other tile is a TEMPSHIFT PLATE made of diamond. That greatly increases the mass (800 kg instead of 100) which means you store more heat. But your steam solution is very smart too. You could still do a combo of the temp shift plates with water in the same tiles.

Ah nice, I haven't even thought of that, thanks for the tip. Might use that for the future in some circumstances.

To keep & store the heat you could mix igneous rock tiles in between the diamond tiles.

You should try putting drywall in your rocket silo to contain the gases from the rockets. You loose a lot of heat in the gases escaping.

this is definitely too late, but I'll throw it down for engagement purposes anyway. I think heat capacity is (if it is modeled according to real physics) a function of the specific heat of the material *and* it's mass. So it diamond windows have a mass of (for example) 1, and a specific heat of .5, but a steel block has a mass of 10, and a specific heat of .1, then the steel block might still be the superior material. (coming out to something like twice as effective)
@Nathans-Sandbox3 жыл бұрын
Yes something like that, they don't follow real world physics exactly but they are following this principle in general.

i guess i am too late for those blueprints 😂 is there a save game atthe end of the series tho?
@Nathans-Sandbox3 жыл бұрын
Not sure, there might be.
@User-md3ul3 жыл бұрын
There is a safe file at the end and I've set up a mirror for that (as it's sad if the video survives but the data for other players not). Sadly I don't have the blueprints.
@Bompa933 жыл бұрын
Mhmhm ok, so is there a way to find them?

Hey nathan, you know i Love your Videos. But maybe you overuse the debug-tool. In ~22:34 you deleted the windowtiles, but your dupe was Not able to reach it. you could also go fully into creative, but Thats Not to interesting to watch.

@@Nathans-Sandbox hope your gamesave is Not broken. Maybe you could observe this. I saw Fran*** Jo** with a similar effect like in your Video. He called it "accidental fastbuild" because he accidentally activated something in debug Mode. Don't know.
