Powered by an all-new naturally aspirated V16 engine and electric powertrain, producing 1,800 hp, with 1,000 from the combustion engine itself and 800 hp from the electric motors - two electric motors in the front e-Axle and one electric motor mounted at the rear axle - the TOURBILLON reflects the brand's pursuit of engineering excellence and an incomparable understanding of aero-and thermo-dynamic requirements for a car that can reach a top speed of 445 km/h.

Crazy how I first learned of Mate Rimac about 8 years ago from Salomondrin's channel. Just some guy and his electric car (The Concept One) and now is the CEO of Bugatti... absolutely crazy. We need more visionary engineers like him and Christian von Koenigsegg that truly build their cars from ground up. One mans vision. The closest thing to the next McLaren F1 we will ever get these days.

In terms of quality, Koenigsegg is far from Rimac/Bugatti cars. Instead of well-paid, skilled engineers, Christian employs many guys from India and thinks they will do the job for little money. We have an example of the last time one Jesco was burned due to quality negligence. The future of Koenigsegg doesn't look very good and the current cars have really low reliability compared to other hypercars.

I love how taking off the turbos isn’t even considered a trade off or downgrade, and it’s more of something special to be able to hear the large engine scream at a high RPM. Usually engines get smaller with added electric motors, but they wanted to keep the heart and soul.

Yeah u keep best of both worlds. Sound of engine and REV jumpmynees and use KERS as torque fill. For supercar quite good decision. Its same compromise Ferrari uses is La Ferrari for example.

I’m most impressed by Cosworth, who seem to be making new (and amazing) engines for the most exciting new cars. Valkyrie, T50, Tourbillon, and who knows what else. I feel like none of these cars would be nearly as interesting if they didn’t have such good-sounding engines.

Many, many years ago, as a teenager, when I saw somewhere (I don't remember where) a poster of a blue Bugatti EB 110, I instantly became a Bugatti fan. When they first presented the Veyron, I knew I would be a Bugatti fan forever, then I watched the video about its development (I think 10 years) and production, I told myself that I would own this car one day 😁🤷(I would be happy with a one-time drive). Then they introduced the SuperSport (veyron), and that's when I totally, guaranteed, "etched" the Bugatti name into my heart and it will stay that way for the rest of my life, no matter what happens, even if Bugatti does something stupid or wrong (unlikely). These cars (bugattis) have something special about them that I can't describe, it's not just the appearance, power, speed, I don't know, there's something about them that literally blows me away every time I see them (on the internet, of course), unfortunately still I haven't even seen one live, but I recently owned one, Chiron. in a ratio of 1:34 🤣🤣🤣🤷

i hope someone commissions a track only version with aa four turbo system that is tune to provide as linear a turbo effect as possible by engaging when the previous one lags. man that would be a track OWNER car omg. but so crazy to engineer. hopefully some super rich person is bonkers enough to make a track focused v ersion, this car is so sick. i think of them as "hyper hybrids" its pretty neat stuff. the balance is perfect, but now it has me day dreaming about an unhinged track only version. that would be a crazy race winning car id think; if only lol
