Brilliant seed starting idea. And to be able to do it prettily is a bonus. Your centerpiece is lovely (the maple may want moving next year).

Loving the cloche thingies! Fab garden centre and plant haul. So sweet seeing your young one enjoying all those plants and running to give you a special hug when they saw you down at their height crouching over some flowers - that made me smile! The littlest digger is such a work horse at your place. Can’t believe how much those little chickens have grown…won’t be long before you are collecting eggs😀.

@@growinginfrance Oh I can well imagine how that is one of those precious moments you’ll treasure forever because they grow up so fast. I have to go back a long time 🧐 but I remember similar moments with my kids. It’s a moment that says, this is home, this is love, this is everything and I wish I could expand it out forever, but In the blink of an eye they are teenagers 😅!!!

Any large seeds you get, you can soak in water and then put them in take home. Containers are wonderful! Mini greenhouses.

Great video and I love your enthusiasm, the garden center was epic. I have seen seeds start with the damp toilet paper in a plastic bag. I have started seed this way. I do love those little dishes though what a neat idea. Rock on you guys..

Thanks! Epic is definitely the right word -- we love that place.

Man of many talents Jack. Woodworking, Stone work, Metal work, Gardening - Potters Wheel next? Love the seed dishes. I found the plastic seed trays not effective as the compost dries out too quickly and they really need a vented lid. Happy gardening and seed raising. Have a good week.

Haha never tried pottery but those wheels do look like fun! You have a good week too. 😁

Hi Jack & Becca. I think we should call it the Becca Seed System as it is working so well! Your veggies are already growing so well you could have salads very soon. Both of you are so adventurous and willing to always learn new things like welding, designing gardens and making fabulous garden walls. Becca the centerpiece is beautiful and at the end of summer you can replant the red tree. Never boring watching you grow❤❤❤

Thanks Kathy, it’s so much fun having all these new things to learn 😍 never a dull moment. Haha we’re both terrible at sitting still so this works 😂

Gurl, that Japanese maple and the lavender need to go in the ground come fall. I bought a Japanese maple about that size 8 years ago and now it's 15 ft high. Also, you could move that chicken cage every few days and the grass under it would be so beautiful. I know of a guy who has what he calls a "chick shaw" so it's a chicken coop on wheels. It's cool and all the chicken poop goes on the garden.

Love watching you guys. I don’t know if these are available in France but often using little plug trays is more efficient to get seeds to grow, sometimes they get lost in relatively big pots. However your veg garden is looking so nice 😊
@growinginfrance8 ай бұрын
I don’t know if we have them… I know I can buy some seedlings started in them from the shops so I probably just need to look harder! I think some smaller pots would be better. Thanks ☺️

Please wear a breathing mask to minimize the gasses from welding. Breathing the gasses causes Parkinsons disease. My father was a welder as a hobby and died from Parkinsons.

I'm so sorry to hear about your father, and appreciate your concern - this is a gasless welder though - it is flux core wire. 👍
