Since you have that long of a run on your water, could you make it a loop and circulates warm water through there all the time in the winter to keep it from freezing?

Yes, I do exactly that, the water does circulate when it's cold, along with a small heater in the barrels.

Thanks for the tour. I am really surprised you can go so long before a clean out of manure etc. I assume the floors are concrete. Do you add anything for odor control or is venting sufficient for your room?
@BrokenArrowFarm307

You are welcome. Floors are dirt, and I do have an exhaust fan system that helps vent the barn.

@@BrokenArrowFarm307 Oh, dirt floors are better at absorbing moisture so that makes a big difference over concrete. Thanks again.

How many rabbits do you have and I want to raise rabbits only for manure. Do you have any suggestions

About 30 producing does, plus the bucks and replacements. Rabbit manure is great! Start with a trio, 1 buck and 2 does learn the trade and move up from there.

I just want to let you know I haven’t sold manure, but you might need to consider the cost of organic feed and hay that is not sprayed with weed killer. It would be a good selling point, your rabbits may live longer so you wouldn’t have to worry with breeding more to replenish for maybe 10 years! Also, I keep doe pens and buck pens for grow outs and they live together with no drama (sexes are separate) I don’t have help butchering so I actually still have a lot living together happily after 6 months. They produce tons of manure so feeding them is not a waste of money to me since I garden. Also, if you get flies or ammonia before you can clean out, hang fly strips and layer shavings all over floor. Cures it immediately till you can get to it and shavings break down and add bulk to compost but tell people it includes some shavings so they don’t expect 100% bunny pellets. ❤

I love your setup. I am raising Rex rabbits. What is the average weight of your Rex does? And how heavy are your kits when you process them?
@BrokenArrowFarm307

Thank you! That's awesome you are raising Rex, my does are 8 to 9 lbs. Kits are 4 to 5 lbs when processed.

Thanks for the tour. Animal husbandry is never laboratory sanitary, nor should it be; which if someone has raised animals for their own food or even commercially it’s obvious, but some sheltered individuals have no clue. While I do like the cage setup and method I would love to try a semi-covered ground colony that is made to avoid escapees like they do for burrowers at the zoos(think meerkat). I think my reasoning is to escape the industrialized feel. Looking forward to view more of your videos

How can these poor rabbits be kept in such filth? Maybe you're used to filth , maybe you were raised this way. How can you be so proud of your achievements. I would be ashamed to show something like that.
