You can add created teams to dynasty mode. You need to switch customize conferences to ON and then swap out a team for the created one

Played alot of this game back in the day Put all your upgrades into Charisma to start Try recruiting international/world recruits at the beginning to better round out your roster. You will be surprised how many 3/4 star recruits you can get at a low ranked school

Funny story Whichever college bball game had Kirk Hinrich on the cover I think it was EA 2000 or something. My brother would always get the Jayhawks who was best team on game. Me and my best friend almost never could beat him. I dont know how but he got my dad to play against him. My dad had only played pong on Atari and some arcade games when he was a kid. My brother to no surprise picked Kansas and my dad picked a not very good Ball State team since thats are hometown college. My dad ended up beating him by more than 20 points. My brother still hates when I bring it up.

Just to let you know you can put a created team in legacy by going to customize conferences. Also play on an emulator or the 2k view will lag very bad.
