I think there is some fancy tool that just diplays the buttons you press, so you dont have to insert the hotkey combinations manually. Great content!

very good tutorial, big ups! but when I was remaking it I noticed the remesh modifier scales the tunnel object down by a few points and so it doesn't join perfectly together

Hi there, i don't know if you'll be able to see this - im sure you're really busy but could you help explain something please? I've followed everything to the T and successfully up to 12:26 where I dont seem to be able to apply the simple deform or make it change the smaller thinner tunnel. it looks like there is a cut here and possibly a step missed in the edit - could you please help me get past this point? I have tried many times to get this to work and it wont apply the spiral. Thanks so much for your tutorial, blender is scary but youve made it more approachable. Jess

At 8:20 did you add the loop cuts? You need geometry for the deform to work, that's the only reason I can think of why this won't work for u

@@jessicamitchell6748 yes if there are cuts along the length of the cylinder it should deform, try press Ctrl a and apply all transforms, perhaps the rotation is not applied and it's causing the modifier to affect the wrong axis

There's a jagged edge around the outside as the tunnel loops, I noticed. Any thoughts on a quick way to blend them together?

Things to check: axis of simple deform, deform setting set to twist, origin points of geometry offset on x axis from actual object, object is subdivided - no geometry = no deformation

i think it could just be an issue with VLC if it's looping perfectly on TD, I would download Resolume Alley player, if there's no stutter on that then you are golden. - Discord: discord.gg/ffqPUAWU

I have never used blender before and this tutorial is so helpful! One question I have is that the gx prompt on the spiral is not deforming the tunnel, it's just moving it back and forth along the x-axis. Can you help me figure out why?
