Thank you for this. I have an area i need clarity. After you launch the exploit command on your metasploit, how did the "virus.exe" get to the windows machine? I didn't see any link to it or where you used the windows IP.

I transferred the payload to my windows machine and ran it but I'm not able to get the reverse TCP.

I have setup 2 VM, one is Kali linux and other is windows 11. I created the payload. I couldn't share directly I think some configurations are missing, so I upload it on google drive and download on Windows 11 VM. I have setup lhost and lport same as shown in the video , after exploit and running the virus file in win VM. it doesn't do anything. Nothing runs on Windows VM and the listener on kali is still on started reverse tcp handler on xxx. It doesn't establish the meterpreter session. what do I do? where am i going wrong?
