Thank you for sharing your journey, truly so special indeed. I'm struggling to find my true hearts home, grounding to nature in my own way here in N.B. Canada. I am an herbalist and permacultre gardener building a medicinal farm. Alas, I long for sunshine and being in nature daily. Working and learning toward moving to some place that feels like home, home of my soul. I wish you love and happiness

Hi. I’ve just discovered your Channel. I love these Food Forests. I’m curious as to why there are so many abandoned Buildings and Farms? I’m Australian.

Hi Wendy Burgess, thank you for your comment. To answer your question Ä, there are many reason why there is a lot of land an building in Portugal. But what I think is important for the land is people who take care of it with good intention ❤️
@off-gridorganism48822 жыл бұрын
Some reasons are that there was a big wave of people moving to the big cities because the country life was very limited economically in the last generation. About 30-40 years ago many young Portuguese moved to the US, Canada, France or Germany for work and ended up staying there with their families. Also many properties are split and owned by many family members and many times the people disagree on what to do with the property so there is actually a lot of abandoned land in Portugal from what we‘ve seen.

@@off-gridorganism4882 Thankyou for replying. I’ve not met too many Portuguese People in Australia. Just a handful. On some of the videos People are really fortunate to live near beautiful running clear Water streams. In a couple of others they have Water wells and with the extreme heat, it is really quite challenging for them. I think many People think living off grid is simple but these Videos are great in helping others understand that in reality the difficulties can be what drove People to abandon this way of life. Just what I can gather. ❤️

The project is in the first stage, as they also said. In some years there will be another series with all the fruit trees grown up
