For the second one, DO NOT EVER DO THAT! First and foremost, NEVER, EVER put gasoline in a plastic bottle. That is extremely dangerous. And if you don't know how to start a small camp fire, the last damn thing you need to do is mix soap and gasoline into a paste to start it.

Very helpful tips, thanks. I do have 2 safety questions: 1. Why would you walk in a construction site in flip flops? 2. Why would you handle contaminated face masks with bare hands and use material from them? If you have foil coffee bags, use the plastic coated wire hold downs. Or tie a braided cord in a surgeons knot.

You don't need to mix salt, water and citric acid to make flux for soldering, you can just use ordinary white vinegar (acetic acid). I learned that as an apprentice over 50 years ago

I'm a bicyclist and a bike mechanic. On the first one that's a really creative solution to a frayed cable. You can see the cut on his thumb because of The fray. Everybody gets stabbed by those trying to fix them.

Why use a jigsaw to cut a straight cut.. Magnet to pick up screws won't work in stainless, plus it's better to put in a plastic bags then turn inside out to separate nails from magnet.

The water/salt/detergent trick looks really useful. I'm going to be replacing the battery in my electric toothbrush soon, The strips (two wires enclosed in plastic) used to seal bags of coffee beans make a great cable ties.
