Correcting that vase also let it blend with the other page way better‼️‼️. I think the 2 match just fine once you put the stripes back on. I love it❣️❣️

Hi Denise! I had a question. You always seem so happy and excited to experiment and make shapes and just have a go. How have you gotten to this point, where creativity is so exciting and not stressful? I’m always worried that I’ll make a mark and not like it. I think if I make something I don’t like, I take it quite personally 😂 So I find it difficult to experiment! Also I like that the vase looks like a bee!

I just got to a point where I let go of expectations of an outcome. Now I start my art making with the "lets see what we can create today" attitude and it has freed me from the upset when I don't get where I expected. Now I don't expect to get to a specific result. I'm happy and delighted with where ever I end up! 🤗

The other one I did - I just glued it in - just a tiny line of the paper was glued into that seam and it worked fine! 🤗

Do you have a system for tracking which color card palettes you’ve used on finished pieces? I know you punch the corners of the palettes you’ve used, but with filling the journals with similar colors? What I’ve begun doing to protect prior pages is a sheet protector or ziplock bag and then tape that to the spine. Keeps tape from damaging previous work. I love the stencil. My favorite walls ever are the brick or stone walls that have been plastered over but have the plaster crumbled away showing the under layer. The soft orange where it mixes with the grey reminds me of that texture. LOVE it!

I have the videos I can look back on - so I don’t track what cards I’ve used beyond punching the hole in the corner. A sheet protector is a great idea!! 🤗

I checked out Joggles because I need bigger stencils... the stencils at the store are 4x6ish... fine for jewelry, but i make trinket dishes... Its hard to choose at Joggles!!! Everything is beautiful!!!

I'm not having an issue in this book, maybe because it is different surfaces? But otherwise you can use the Dorlands Cold Wax to do a thin layer of wax over your piece - that would keep them protected and not sticking. Or a piece of wax paper slipped in there would work too. 🤗

@@pamwarner4187 hi Pam! I recently found out I can brush a thin layer of corn starch over the pages to help with this! So far it works pretty well! I probably won't do this on my "good" pieces, but I don't mind in my sketchbook. Very dusty though so next time I might do it in the kitchen instead of my art space, lol. Take care and good luck!

I´m watching it and thinking it matches if you put some of that burgundy/purple on the left side. Not much just a touch. Anyway the florals are lovely! When I paint these fabric pages the colors go through to the other side, does yours do that too?? 🤔

Yes! The paint bleads through for me too. I just glue some art I’ve done on the other side to cover it up. Painting on the other side would blead through to the finished side I think. ☺️
