The first half of the kzbin.infoUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

I use to like to make stuff and have a few drills and saws left over. He's inspiring me to get up get busy make something. I took 8 wood papers and laid them out as foundation for the outside patio I built. Laid 1/2 inch plywood over them and framed it out stained it and then put end post all four corners cemented into ground then put white plastic post over wood post and attached white fence railing around 3 sides to post. Then attached a canopy over whole thing. Force woman not a bad job. Took 2 days. I was 36 then I'm now 70.

You should use the guard on the jointer...this operation looked sketchy especially not using the fence. The only time where you should possibly take off the guard is to joint wider board faces than the jointer cutter head. Even then you it feel sketchy and needs to be shown full respect.

Lol, I've never seen anyone use a jointer like that? That fence on the side there. Ya, that thing. It helps stabilize the piece when feeding it through so that the piece doesn't tip over and turn your hand to hamburger. It also ensures you get a square edge, which is the sole purpose of a jointer.

i love how this thing looks but i'd like some storage along with this table thing, for super small boxes, electronics, LEDS and other small stuff, maybe behind the closed table have a lot of shelves which can be filled with boxes, maybe some storage on the inside of the doors and also some kind of hidden mechanism to open/close the doors, like a push to open, soft lock and small magnets if necessary ... overall, i love it

Very good, thanks. I think it would be better to make the doors of the cabinet additionally countertop legs when unfolding. The doors themselves could also be made foldable to get separate legs for the countertop. So it would be more reliable and the countertop could be made longer and having arranged everything in a folding form in the format of a big cabinet with small usual second section in bottom. At least I would like to have such a cabinet-table.

It’s a cool idea but honestly, think about it...unless you enjoy a prefilled table with no longer shelves to put everything, you’ll need to refrain from using your shelves to full capacity. Just like the table that converts this way, they really should hold items associated with how/what the table is used for. A mirror behind the shelves makes a great shaving station...
