Every body trying to copy the first impressionists,what’s wrong with glazing or blending ,looks very professional.Michael Angelo’s was painting that technique,called Sfumato technique.

Hi Mike, I usually use a variety of brush strokes not just one direction. With clouds, I will use brushstrokes that follow the form of the clouds.
