Did you say you were boosting 20khz a bit? If it because it's for theater and it's Orchestral music? That's unheard of in pop-rock-edm, Anyone else finds this strange?

Hi from France. Not so strange. The mastering engineer i work with got a massive passive, and some years ago i was looking at the pots on it, i was asking the same question when i saw 27k on the face plate. He answered simply that, as if we’re not able to hear this frequencies, electronically something happen in the high end. I experience it at each mastering session. Something in the air is added that can make huge difference. Some eq can add 32khz.
