If you use the foam door hangers they are much thicker and you can emboss texture into the foam itself. So for the sunflower you could pit it all up to make it look like sunflower seeds. and draw lines in the petals to make them look more realistic.

Great idea for getting more value from your dies. I hate to admit, but I have a LOT of them. I purchased fun foam to use for dimension instead of the double sided foam tape. I learned that Smidgen, my kitty, loves to chew it to pieces. I have to put my fun foam in a drawer or in a closet, because even if its in a bag, she will find it! Love that leaf die, very pretty card.

I love the beautiful card fronts I see people make but I really would like to see what they do with the inside!
@libertylost82865 жыл бұрын
I agree. That is where people read what the card is about and no matter how beautiful the front is, if it doesn’t say what I am wanting to say on the inside, I don’t buy the card. That is why you see a bunch of people standing in front of a card display. They are attracted to the card from the outside, but when they read the inside, they are putting the card back on the shelf because it doesn’t convey the message they want to send. At least that is how I shop for cards. I am like you and need ideas on what to put on the inside.

I love all your ideas, they always inspire me to try something new. I have been making stamps from foam die cuts for some time, and one thing that works well for me is to coat the foam die cuts with a few layers (3-4) of Mod Podge (let dry between coats). This way I can continue to use my foam stamps over and over again and clean them between uses. The idea to mount them on to clear packaging is great, will do that from now on!

I do something similar. I use self adhesive foam purchased from the craft section of Walmart. But I make my stamps permanent by sticking them to recycled plastic I’ve cut from cherry tomato clamshells (or any other harder plastic produce clamshells I have). Then my stamps last forever rather than one time.

jennifer mcguire, could you show me or tell me more about archival mini ink, its so little information on the internet, i would loved to hear and see if they are layering well or not, and i have read that they have changed the formula on them, and i dont know if you have the newest of them since its so little information :P it says that they are dye inks when im on several sites to look, but they also say that they are pigment inks, so you see im really confused. i also have some distress oxide inks, but i dont have the same type of colors to see if they layer well either, and i have not found anyone who have used oxide inks for layering, only backround stamping technigues. so please help me
