As a working Jazz drummer, this is the very best jazz instruction, Many videos On licks, But Von you show integration with Music, and dynamics. Unbelievable

Mike thanks so much my friend! The integration with music is always my goal. I want all of my students to experience the magic of making great music with other musicians. I hope to see you at Jazz Drum School too. Every course over there is set up the same way, to get you out there swinging!

really good and helpful video thanks Von!:) Are you planing to do a livestream in the future? I really liked those and don’t want to miss it if you going to have one:)

Dino thanks for letting me know the video was helpful! I don't often live stream here on my KZbin channel but have my live stream Drum Lab class every month at Jazz Drum School. Here's more about Drum Lab: jazzdrumschool.com/course/jazz-drum-class It's a free live stream for all enrolled students at Jazz Drum School. It's a great time to ask questions about courses at the School and your Jazz drumming. Last month we covered how to finish your 4's and 8's and chorus solos. This month I'll be giving you some choice tips on stoking your creativity across the drum kit. Once you enroll at the School, I'll automatically enroll you in Drum Lab and you can also see all of the previous months' Drum Labs. I hope this helps my friend and I'm looking forward to connecting with you at the School soon too 🤙

@@jazzdrumschool I need some theory help! Understanding AABA and soloing to forms. I trade fours pretty well. But with extended solos, I do them and play to the melody line, but I'm not sure when to stop!!

Mike, really sorry for only seeing this now. I completely understand where you are coming from. Actually, I cover all of this an a lot more in my Jazz Drum Soloing Course: jazzdrumschool.com/course/jazz-drum-solo I know it will iron out these wrinkles and fill in those gaps in your understanding. We can also do a video exchange lesson if you like. For the time being, I have stopped doing face-to-face online lessons but still do exchange lessons: store.vonbaronmusic.com/product/learn-drums-online-private-jazz-drum-lessons/ Let me know how I can help. Again, I apologize for the delay 🤙
