Amazing how the bishop became the most powerful piece at the end when it was initially rendered useless by the strong pawn structure. Once the bishop got behind the pawns it was all over. It only shows magnus’s strong understanding of the pieces, turning disadvantage into advantage.

@@charlesgerety1403 If you run out of time, you lose, as seen in the video. They initially started with 3 minutes in this match, but games start with anywhere from 60 seconds to 60 minutes (or longer). They also had increments of 2 seconds in this match, meaning each time they make a move, they gain 2 seconds. This match would be written out as 3 | 2 (3 minutes, +2 seconds increment)

@@charlesgerety1403 It's a timer which is used when players play times games. If you run out of time you auto-lose right there. The tricky thing to note is when person A hits the button on their side, it starts the time for person B, and the other way around. So if me and you played - I make my chess move and hit my button, which ends MY time going down and starts YOUR time going down. Then you move, then hit your button and make my time start going down/start my move, and so on.

What was going to happen if baadur move the Knight to c5 on 7:45 making bishop and the pawn on his aim, if the bishop move back, then, move c4 pawn to c5 (check) magnus may move king to b2 while aiming on the pawn, (if the pawn don't move, the Knight take it, but it still have the chance of the bishop stills on the pawn guard if move bishop to f8) or the knight just moves around and tries to take care about those other pawns? (I'm new on chess, pls can you guys help me whit this question? My english is ain't that good too.)

think about it.. if white captures the bishop with the king, then after the pawn moves to a2 what can stop it from queening on the next move? the knight on b1 doesn’t have a way of controlling the a1 square and because the king captured the bishop on b4, it cannot reach a1 in 3 moves so black will get a queen

If you are talking about 1:02, modi g bishop pair is not good idea as black already doesn't have good paan structure. Losing bishop pair is even worse at this level against such players.

Nb1 wins the game instantly for white. 7:37 Kc4 was a waste of time then f4 was a blunder - waste of time and weakening his own position. Without f4 the black bishop would have never entered the game. This is how you lose a winning endgame in two moves.

Because then Carlsen's bishop still infiltrates the position and picks up the g and h pawns. Nc3 was an attempt to block the bishop. But both moves are losing.
