I’m especially excited to see some old church’s, abbeys etc. Here in California old is barely 100 years. 😂 I’m also fascinated by the elm tree bark, I’ll have to see if I can find some. Like someone mentioned i would also be interested in seeing how you organize and store items in your studio, maybe a walk-through. Have a great day and year! Linda

This is all terribly exciting, Kelly! Your interests are very much aligned with mine. I’ve been slow stitching for about a year now, and I actually sold a piece at a local gallery recently. I’ve fooled around with “paper fabric,” but have not yet figured out how to incorporate it into what I’m doing. I’m going in a vacation soon and am going to try to journal a lot during that. So- wow! Go forward this year with all of this fun goodness!

Hi Sally. For a written diary I do use a store-bought notebook. Sometimes a "good" one (usually received as a gift) but more often just a ring bound notebook that costs a couple of bucks. I find that the less valuable the book the easier it is to tell it things that I might be afraid to spill out in something fancy. Does that make sense? I will be talking about this very thing soon! I almost didn't watch this video but I'm so glad I did because I love your inspirations for the coming year. We visited Ireland and Scotland last September and I fell in love with the book of Kells, Trinity College library and the Chester Beatty library. As a retired librarian, lover of old ruins and such,, and themed book artist I am curious to see what you will share as you explore texts and artifacts. I also am excited to see what you do with found natural materials. There were a bunch of mushrooms that sprang up in our backyard this fall (more than normal for Oregon) and I did some eco dying and got wonderful green leaf prints on paper. Now I want to try just about anything I find. And journaling - I keep trip diaries when I travel but not at home. You might inspire me. Looking forward to your videos. Meg
