You can only respect the ingenuity and effort that went in. Will the cement chemicals leech into the water? Yes. Will the pallet treatment fail in the water and leech? Yes Will the spray paint and plastic contaminate the water? Yes But it was still so intriguing to watch 😊

All other things said, that electrical cord needs a loop in it. The minute a drop of water gets on the wire going down, its going straight into your plug and thats a problem. You need to elevate the plug so water goes down the wire, and drips off the loop to avoid this.

One guarantee is that sooner or later all concrete / cement cracks . . .even if it's inches thick. This somewhat flexible tarp coated in cement and sitting in wet environment will soon be leaking (sooner rather than later!). The comments I have seen about fish waking up to an aquarium filled with air are pretty much right on.

Some people need to chill a bit in the comments.. This may not be visually the most aesthetically pleasing project, but I do have to give him props for using a lot of recycling products. I agree about the fact that it may not have been the best idea to make out of it an aquarium because of the chemicals and a few other things, but for me it was really impressive to see the bunch of things you can create with recycled stuff! Hang in there, haha it may not be one of the cleanest projects, and I really hope the fish are doing well (I am not trying to sound rude, but I think it's best to put those fish in a new tank 😅). Anyway, thanks for posting this video, it may have its rough edges, but we all make a few mistakes here and there, I hope you're getting better overall! Stay safe, have a nice day! 😊

Yes, making something else out of the idea would be much better. Well cover is a great idea. Use a stainless steel or other mesh also as 1st layer, then cloth to the shape you want. When dry, turn over and use spray insulation on the inside for the insulation factor for winter. Maybe insert a hand hold at bottom somewhere so you can lift it later on.

Won't the exposed wood rot in time from sitting in the water? Also, if those boards are chemically treated it will leech into the water and possibly poison the fish. I usually support your creations but this one leaves me with more questions than joy. Final thought, from what I learned at a neighborhood aquarium is that this set up is much too small for the size and number of fish that were just put in. This is one of those times I feel it important to ask questions and share knowledge. Thank you for sharing ideas that inspire so many.

@@trails7416 I looked it up and found that fish ponds, from small to very large, must be either sealed with a special plastic liner or with a sealant that is applied like paint. I enjoy social media for the learning that comes from people joining in a conversation. I also am grateful to this man for his videos as they are entertaining to watch, inspire so many to try something new and, like now, brings about questions we share answers to. Once the inside of my apartment is done I have my eye on making bird baths and feeders for my 6th floor balcony. @ Mario Fernandez I think this could work as an aquarium. I love the design. Filtration is the same concept of that using 55 gallon drums and biomedia for a pond. More frequent water changes may be necessary. Seems to be shaded area so the water should not get overly warm. This so totally doable.

Well theirs 15 mins of my life I’ll never get back!!! Would have been cheaper to buy a fish tank. It looked tacky and cheap.....
@2Ryled4 жыл бұрын
Waaayy too many fish for that tank. Barely can turn around. Bigger fish will eat little fish. Concrete will kill the fish. Concrete kills plants put in it too
@louisedery10494 жыл бұрын
Concrete does not kill plants. Also the water has a filter.
@2Ryled4 жыл бұрын
@@louisedery1049 yes it can if it's new. It causes leaching and raises the ph of the soil. Ive put plants on concrete containers and they all died. Diff containers. That's how I know, and you can look it up. You can put a barrier down, btw soil and concrete, but for a fish pond you might need a clear plastic barrier but that may or may not cause other problems (maybe leaching when you add pond additives to keep water clear. I dont know.

The only “Hideous” thing is your comment! Sure, there are others! But, yours was the first I read! Art is in the “Eye of the beholder”! Some people don’t know Creative Art when they see it! Maybe, he started off doing a table, who knows? I thought, it was very creative on his part! Would I do that, no! But, I did learn a few things watching his video!
