Yay! I'm so glad that was helpful for you! --Yes! I liked the idea of it being delivered without needing an attachment or a download and could be more interactive with check-off items or next steps when needed. It's also easier to link buttons in Dubsado for action items (scheduling link, tutorial library, online storage folder/Dropbox or Google Drive, etc) vs creating links in PDFs depending on the software you're using (Adobe Acrobat or Canva), etc. 😁

Thank you so much for making this video! I'm currently deciding which CRM tool to go with which is such a hard choice. Even though mine will not look as fabulous as yours (yet!) this was extremely helpful to see the back end UX and what Dubsado is capable of. From what it look like the customization options are powerful and definitely help to add personality which is needed with sooo many forms. 😄

Great video, Katelyn. Was curious how you got your personal photos that you post on your website and client portal ( ex. Did you do them yourself or arrange a professional photo shoot ? ) ? If it was a photo shoot, how was the experience? ( Would you recommend that route for someone just starting out as a solo web designer on a budget? ) Thanks for all the great content and continued success in your business.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Funny you ask... I can't think of a single current photo -anywhere on my website, socials, etc,- that was taken within the last 4 years, that's not basically a selfie I took of myself. 😂 A professional photoshoot has been on my to-do list for years, but it just hasn't been that high of a priority yet with a million other things above it. I do recommend getting a professional photoshoot when the budget is there, because there is definitely tons of value in having at least one, if not several (over time) -but until then here are my favorite tips: 1) get a bluetooth remote that works with your phone or camera so you can take the pictures at further than arms length, and use a timer + an inexpensive tripod 2) if you use your phone, use the camera on the BACK, not the front; it's way higher quality 3) my favorite tip is from a photographer I can't remember the name of or I'd be happy to credit her! To get a natural smile if you struggle with this -start fake-coughing. Pretend to cough. You'll soon feel ridiculous and eventually start to laugh for real. 😂 It works like a charm! 4) if you're not great at timing the pose with the shot, just record high quality video, pose & hold, then change poses & hold, etc -when you're done, grab screenshots you like from the video

Thank you for this! Quick question about the Facebook review link on your feedback form - did you find a way to make it work on mobile? (I just spent 30 minutes verifying that the direct link to the reviews won’t work on mobile. *sob*

You're welcome! Good question. I've actually never checked that before, so probably not. 😂 But I've also never had a client tell me they filled it out on their phone and I've also never had anyone say it didn't work. BUT, also, to be fair, I don't actually care if they do leave a review on Facebook these days anyway. Google's my preferred secondary review choice. If they fill out the review form AND leave a review on Google then they get bonus points with me. 😆🙌🏻 I may even take the Facebook link off my form entirely now; I'm just not active over there enough for them to bother with it. 😁 Sorry! That probably doesn't help you at all! lol Maybe just link to your FB page's & to the reviews tab instead if it will let ya?
