I loved that you explain the possibility of providing insight from my experience living on this planet with the reader who can then take what they relate to and benefit from my experience and my vulnerability.

Thank you for this video and introducing the craft of creative nonfiction! I love that you said we have to do our introspection homework, because it's not as easy as it sounds, and some people take this for granted. Learning more about the personal essay from Phillip Lopate has been eye-opening for me; before I studied him, I thought I wasn't allowed to ramble or digress--that I had to be collected and have it all figured out when I write essays, even when I wasn't there yet.

13:10 this is very helpful. I was thinking of using this tool too in the piece that I am currently writing about. Now I know what to call it and finally feel a bit more justified.

I've recently wanted to start back writing creative non fiction I usually flip between poetry and creating music on my channel but I recalled how much I enjoyed creative non fiction in college and decided to dive right into it. What better way to get a refresher than watching a few good videos on the subject. I hope to subscribe to Channels where I can read others non fiction and writings and have the same done in return but I can't seem to find actual channels of people posting there stories there's only information on what non fiction is.lol anyway thanks so much for this video.

Interesting 🤔 ideas on experiences and reflections with non fiction writing. ✍️ I plan to do that with my songwriting where i been having a bit difficulty being creative with my story telling in song compositions. Thx! 💡

Thank you so very much for this. I was wondering how I could bring a message to the reader in a way that didn't feel like I was breaking up the story. I like the introspection idea. Thank you.
