Very nice tutorial! Two questions : You seems to have a continuous light on the right side of the table bouncing off the wall then through a diffuser that is held by a c-stand, am I wrong ? So it would be a two lights setup isn't it? And where did you guy those vinyl backdrops? This is a great size, the one I'm finding are way smaller. Thanks :)

Great observation! The continuous light in the corner is just to illuminate the room for the video. Because I'm shooting at such a high aperture, the continuous light has little effect on the scene. The strobe ends up overpowering the continuous light. You could argue that the continuous light might add some ambient light to the overall scene, but it would be minimal. The green vinyl backdrop I found on AliExpress but I usually create my own vinyl backdrops using Photoshop, Midjourney, and printing at a local print shop.

@@KaseySwanPhoto thanks! One final thing, since your backdrop is a vinyl, do you find yourself find to get rid of glare and reflection since it is not matte like a Savage seamless backdrop? I'm looking for a backdrop to shoot food, so vinyl seems a good option cause I can simply wipe the grease out of it but I'm looking to get that matte finish. Any thoughts on that?

@@ChuckRiseUp The green backdrop from AliExpress is much more reflective than the custom vinyl backdrops that I print myself. You can get matte backdrops from Club Backdrops, Propsyland, or Backdrop Collective. I'm hoping to one day have my own backdrop shop that my subscribers can order from, but those suggestions above all have quality backdrops!

I don’t have camera but using iPhone do I need to use flash?
@KaseySwanPhoto3 ай бұрын
You don't need a flash to get started! You could start with using sunlight and experimenting with what you have available to you.

What was the app you used to take the photo as if it was a remote trigger for the shutter please? Taking a photo via the tethering is so handy - I've never done that before.
