The Video is so Educational. I am a bit fan of Beauty photography and i do beauty shoot a lot but with this tutorial, i've picked up quite number of more ways to add glamour to your normal beauty and fashion shoots. i love the way Sarah used those colour gels and the 1 sec shutter is a bummer. i really love the Tutorial i will definately be putting this set up to good use. For the question asked, The complex lighting setup will do the best for me, i do a lot of 1 light portrait shoot but the complex set really add drama and punch to the Photos. so the complex set will do it for me.

I am so glad to have this channel posting again and this was another amazing chapter on the rather elusive subject of lighting. Sarah never disappoints with her themes and creative setups for using the great GODOX line. The answer to this week's question though leaves itself open for various solutions. Heck, when I go on location outside it depends on just what I am looking for as well as the ability to truly man a crew to lug the equipment. That's one reason I am so pleased with the amazing portability GODOX brings to the market. When inside I also have the time to set, move, experiment, without 20 people standing around. So yes I love single light either from a large window on a cloudy afternoon or using a collection of GODOX flashes, speedlights, and modifiers. It's all a story we all struggle to tell and with GODOX we can concentrate on the story and characters, not the equipment.

Absolutely loved the set ups in the video! Sarah does a fantastic job with lighting. And Much like most of her set ups in the video, I too like multiple light set ups. In the start of my career, I started out with one light set up which did give a dramatic look to my photographs, But upon acquiring more lights I started using 2-3 different lights to light up multiple areas of the photograph. A continuous light for the background and two lights on either side of the model with strip boxes, makes the final product well lit and 3 dimensional.

Another informative and engagingly presented video... thank you! I have AD200s, and frankly was surprised that Sarah was able to get such a strong wash of light onto the cyc from them... they don't seem that powerful to me. Maybe I'm underestimating them! Re the poll question: I prefer the possibilities of a more complicated lighting arrangement, but I do NOT prefer having to lug it around and set it up by myself! So, I usually stick to one bigger light (typically AD400 Pro) and one smaller light (AD200 or V1.) I really like the look Sarah was getting from that lantern soft box and am going to look into getting one to use on the AD400P.
@sarahedmunds2 жыл бұрын
The ad200s were actually at quite a low power! This is because if the light is too bright it will wash out the colour. So for saturation of the gel, not much power is needed at all. So glad you enjoyed it! Please join my Facebook group (link in description) to discuss more!
