Hi, the shell of the old gas tank is 3mm thick, so the top plate is only 3mm thick.

You can make yourself........collect all the propane tanks you can find, local dumps are a good source even at the curbside, its not hard to find people who can weld up a simple version of this for you....I make them for fishermen, backyard wiener roasters, homeless guys living down by the river.....remove the valve , wash them out, mark out what you want. I use a drill, angle grinder , simple hand tools and alot of bandages on boo boos 😅 ....bought a cheap plasma cutter on Amazon, next year will hopefully be a little bit better........😊
