Hey Cody, Hocus Crocus is a blooming plant. Often yarn companies use plant names for their Yarns that mimic the color of the blooms. Like when you came across the yarn color Delphinium in a recent video, that too is a flowering plant whose bloom is reflected in the yarn color. To learn how to pronounce words like Delphinium, a quick Google (gargle) search will let you hear how it's pronounced. Finally, Macchiato is a type of coffee drink (think Starbucks) that is expresso topped with a thin layer of foamed milk. You can Google how to pronounce it as well. I wanted to share some of their thinking in choosing yarn color names. I hope that this is helpful. MaryAnne in New Mexico 🌶 USA

I took the opportunity to buy as many of these as possible. All at least 25% off or more. Each is big enough for a large lap blanket. I really liked the colors and patterns. I had fun making moss stitch, C2C, and modern granny square blankets. If you shorter than 5’4” it will go up to your neck. I planned on giving them to family and friends for Christmas. Instead, I asked if I could donate them, in their honor, to local hurricane relief groups and to Ukraine relief agencies. Everyone was thrilled to have me make these as gifts for others.

I wish they had more available. In my area I don’t think they got very many and the people who could afford more bought quite a few at one time with that rare 40% off coupon. Store employees weren’t watching and people were using that coupon over and over again and the registers weren’t flagging it as used after one use. I saw a lady who bought 12. People were posting about that coupon and how they all got multiple skeins of that yarn. All separate transactions. I got one skein of the green with a 30% off coupon (I didn’t realize the 40% off was going to end or I would have bought the yarn then!) and used my Ibotta money for the rest. I can’t get anymore. 1 skein made a crocheted granny stitch hooded sweater with a big ball to spare. My daughter got many compliments and I could have gotten business from at least 10 people had I been able to find more yarn. So she told people “my mom can’t get any more of this yarn. It was a limited time only. Sorry”. I’m bummed
