Came here from your video using the Premier Puzzle yarn in this stitch. You explain this stitch very well. I love the way it worked up for you using the Puzzle yarn. For a solid throw, I'd personally use a simpler stitch such as the Suzette, just because it's easier LOL, but this stitch seems perfect for a harlequin effect using the Puzzle yarn. Thanks for explaining it so well!

Thank you to take the time to re-explain the last stitch; like a lot of us, I'm having difficulties to identify it, despite several explanations. Now I'm trying with a marker at the first stitch of the row as it becomes the last stitch at the end ... and so far it works pretty good, maybe that would help some ladies here!! But continue to explain it to us, it helps. One day we'll be good at it and we'll recognize that «« last stitch »» once and for all !!!

If I try this I'm probably going to put a stitch marker in that chain-1 that does not count, so I'll know NOT to work into that stitch.

I love this pattern, and did an afghan using it with two colors. I did 2 rows of each color, so I could bring up the sides instead of cutting off. It worked beautifully, and looked great. Since it's a dense pattern, I used Caron Simply Soft yarn, which is a 4 wt. yarn, but is thinner than other 4 wt. yarns. It still came out fairly dense, but not overly so. Thanks, Glenda. Your patterns are lovely! I have done several blankets using your patterns and everyone is amazed at how wonderful the patterns are. I'm a big fan!

This stitch pattern has me hooked (no pun intended). it took some time to master, but I kept crocheting, ripping it out and crocheting until I got it under control, that said, I've completed a 62 x 64 all white...a 66 x 58 royal blue, and have four more in progress...all measuring about the same size. A pale plum, black and heather grey, pretty n' pink and soft navy...thank you, love this pattern. Hope I do you justice. Paul

Robin! Answer for you that might help. When I can’t seem to get longer stitches to sit well I use an extended version of the stitch used or an extended version of a stitch a size smaller. Eg. an extended double front post instead of a triple front post. Also tension can be a real problem causing curling, let your yarn flow more freely when pulling your loops through to form your stitch. Hope this helps.

Thank you Glenda. That's the first sample I've made with a front stitch. Lots of fun. My tension got a bit sloppy trying to allow enough yarn to go under and through those front doubles. But I think that will improve with practice. I'd never master some of these stitches without your video instructions. Thank you.

I know this is an old video, but I came across this and thought it was just such a beautiful stitch pattern. I am going to use this pattern in a blanket for my niece for Christmas. I had made a sample a couple weeks ago and forgot to write down where I saw it and I had forgotten I had even done a sample. I have spent the past week looking for it again and couldn't for the life of me remember who had the video for it. I am so happy I found it again and I wrote it down this time. I am also working on my second granny square project for the Season of the Granny.

It was a little tough for me. But, I did finally get it. I think this is one that I will be using for my grand-daughters University colors. I'm think of for the base in white and I have found a variegated yarn that is yellow and black. So, I'm going to make it a thicker stripe of about 6 rows or more. I'll have to see how it looks. Thank you. I'm excited that I found you.

I love this stitch! Thanks as always! I just thought I might make a little recommendation. I dont know if its possible for you to make or even edit the videos so you can have a quicker tutorial for the more advanced crocheters while still keeping the video for absolute beginners? I can read patterns, but I still love to watch the tutorials because I learn better with a visual. Just a thought. 😊 I will still watch regardless, because I love the stitch of the week! 😁❤

I'm VERY new to crochet. :) I was wondering if you could make a lighted crochet rug with LED rope lights. I have scoured youtube for a good tutorial and I can't find one. I really want to make one for my daughter. My biggest problem with crochet is keeping my stitches even. I thought maybe I could do that because the rope light would help. Thanks so much!!! I love your channel.

Mmm maybe not a good idea for a rug being stepped on nor electricity on the floor in a kid's room. Spills are always a hazardous chance no matter how careful. You wouldn't want being hip or in crowd to lead to a hospital trip. Just grandmotherly advice.
