PLAN WITH ME || 2025 Reading Journal Setup

This year, I kept track of my reading in my Happy Planner. I used a monthly insert. I was planning to do the same for 2025, but I’m loving all the reading journal setups. I just don’t want it to become a chore to keep up with. So still on the fence.

The insert is a great idea!! So simple and easy. Honestly, my reading & media journal took over my life this year (in the best way, but still I put sooo much work into it!) so I’m planning to simplify things in 2025 😋

📕 I’m starting a reading Bujo this year to help me keep track of what I’ve liked/loved/hated so I can recommend books to friends when they ask. I plan to do a Bingo spread but I’m going to put ideas for my spaces in a jar (more than I need) and then randomly draw out ideas to fill in the spread so it’ll be completely random. I think it’ll be fun 😄

Great spreads. I have my journal set up already for 2025 but I already know I'll need two journals for the year for reading. I've changed up the way I am doing it this year and have all my book clubs color coded, my challenges and read-a-longs are now separate from the book clubs and will be easier to find with tabs. I love how your journal came out though and plan to do what you did with your five star read and favorite book of the year in my journal too! Thanks for the idea!

📚 I just track the books I read in my general BUJO. However, I use my BUJO more as a life tracker rather than a planner. I record my life as I go instead of long-term plans.

I found washi tape that was like 1000 star ratings. It's wide and has five stars across the wide part, on Amazon. I'll have star stickers forever now.

That’s amazing!! Since it’s washi tape, what do you color in the stars with? Only asking because I’ve had issues with smudging when trying to write on washi tape in the past 😋

There’s definitely spreads I never go back to in my journals this is so common 😅 Maybe try to incorporate reading spreads into your regular journal or planner instead of having a whole journal dedicated to reading? Just to ease yourself into it 😋

I listen to A LOT of audiobooks! While I’m driving, while I’m filming, while I’m cleaning, etc. But I’ve also been reading a lot more physical books for my book club, and I cram in all the reading a couple days before we meet haha
