The goal isn't to help you, the goal is to induce you to watch more seconds of their content. It's also why it's paced just a little too fast to comfortably follow if you're actually trying to learn anything, forcing you to rewind repeatedly just to see component values and so forth, which literally appear on screen for less than a second. It's stylishly edited and art directed to make it visually appealing, the absolute last priority is teaching anything valuable.

The 2nd project with the full bridge and powering the mains is very dangerous. If the 2 prong plug is plug in the reversed (AC pin1=Live, pin2=Neutral), it is not safe to touch the DC terminals! Anyway, it is dangerous to touch anything that is in direct contact with the mains power.

I built an enclosure for an old Pioneer car stereo that I use in my garage. I power it with an old CPAP power supply that converts 120VAC to 12VDC. The problem I am having is that anything the power cord gets unplugged, I lose all of my presets. I am trying to figure out a way to make a battery backup. I'm not sure if putting a capacitor in parallel with the power cord would be an option, and if it is, should I place it before the transformer, or after?

@@jayhinds3937 is a three phase motor not subject to the same ohms law? How does the mosfet control the motor differently than just a variable resistance? Or is it just using the transistors to “dial in” that resistance automatically?
@jayhinds393725 күн бұрын
@@phookaziz3 Each phase of the motor must be energized sequencely. These types of motors are used in RC projects alot and are controlled by an ESC (electronic speed controller) that passes high current to the motor from a low voltage-low current control signal. While this is an overly simplified explanation I hope it helps.

look at the schematic. there is no way for the battery to even give feedback. it is also extremely power inefficient, and lacks the super important CC feature. if you see anyone build circuits without explaining them, run. they also don't know how they work.

The second project is a capacitive dropper. Useful for driving low power circuits but MAINS VOLTAGE KILLS! The circuit is in no way safe to touch, even though he touched the output wires. The only thing standing between you and the live mains voltage wire is a diode and two resistors. Same goes for the third project. Never play with mains voltage unless you're a licensed electrician.
