Knife Making | How to Make a Knife from Old File

This time I plan to use an old rusty file to make a nice short knife. What is different from the past is that this time I did not use any knife template prepared in advance and made this knife randomly.

All the knife makers I watch tend to just do the sanding with their bare hands close af to the belt sander. This guy with the big brain isn't trying to have his hands sanded away. Good choice.

Good job Nice knife design. Especially the handle .. If you can get an old chipped straight razor blade they make great knives too. A lil deer horn for a handle a brass pin maybe a guard of some sort ..and you're set

Apparently this works best with pre 1960s files as modern ones only use a skin of hard steel or iron. People that make file knives for serious use wrap a skin of softer steel around the back and sides of the knife.
