Subscribed and digesting your catalog. Congrats on your performance and journey. As a just-retired oldie, happy seeing your success. Carry on. Perhaps host a livestream soon and field questions. Love that format, attended several sessions from Fidelity, CBOE Ed Center, OptionsPlay. Eager to know more about your inputs for selecting the underlying and DTE. More Theta to sell for premium on the 45 +/- 15 DTE relative to weeklies. Also, like you, super curious about preparations we all make for trading primarily Bear Call Credit Spreads after the market fundamentals--inevitably--turns negative. Good luck for your continued, and profitable, investing. From PDX, Dave.

As always, it is very enlightening video and thanks much for your easy to understand videos. Two questions: 1. Is there any reason as to why you chose SPX over SPY? 2. How do you calculate ATR and ADR and why do you choose ATR over ADR? Many thanks in advance !

SPX is more tax-friendly than SPY, if you have a large account, which he probably does.

Great video as always. Clear and concise. I wonder if you could do the next video explaining what to do when the things go bad and how to manage a losing trade. Could you show losing trades examples? it'll be very valuable for beginners learning credit spreads to set realistic expectations.

You have to hold an acct value of $$23,000 in order to risk the 10%. The next video should show how to repair the trade if it moves against you in a reversal.

Would be handy to know what SPX was at the point of your trade and what your delta's were

What’s a good stop loss for credit spreads ?
@CreditSpreadInvesting8 ай бұрын
Hard stop losses I always set at no more than 100% of my credit received. So if I collect $100, my stop loss is at most $200. Ideally you get stopped out earlier. However, as you see from this video, if you use stop losses based off of technicals, you’ll need to set alerts and exit once the market closes above it. Which in theory should always be less than 100% of the credit received.

What time frame are you looking at charts for? Weekly?
@CreditSpreadInvesting2 ай бұрын
start with a higher timeframe. Dailys and weeklies, and then you go to a 30 min/5 min timeframe to find entries
