I've been following you for a little while now and I'm glad that you finally made it out to my home parks (CGA, GG, & SCBB). I really appreciate your honest and non biased opinions. You're definitely one of the better coaster vloggers. Keep up the great work dude👍🎢 Gilroy Gardens originally opened as Bonfante Gardens and was a horticultural park. The original owner actually never wanted it to have rides but it was sold and the new owners changed that. The Giant Dipper @ SCBB is the oldest operating roller coaster in all of California and is an ACE Landmark. There are lots of cool information signs as you wait in line and there are several movie posters of some of the most popular movies filmed there (Lost Boys, Us, Bumblebee among others). It's a shame you didn't stay until night time. The boardwalk is awesome when everything is lit up. Enjoy the rest of your trip in Nor Cal. I look forward to your other videos👍

Just did the giant dipper in Santa Cruz first time last week with my ten year old step daughter. Shes done some kiddy coasters before and Jaguar, which is arguably a kiddy coaster, but shes a kid and i want her to have a good time associated with coasters, so i let her decide what rides she wants to do and i support her. So last week when we were uo there on vacation, towards the end of day i was thinking i would ride Giant Dipper solo at the very least. After a meal break she asked if we could ride it. I looked her dead in the eyes and said "hell yeah, finish your chicken bowl" which she wasnt able to cause it was a loaded bowl, but thats the hoy of taking kids to amusement parks, you pay to feed them and you can finish whatever they dont eat, because you oaid 15 bucks for it. And as a well adjusted adult, even if youre hungry, youre not as cranky or irritable as the kids are. I digress. She absolutely loved it and i was beyond impressed. I rode the ine in Belmont when i was her age, at the time i thought it was a cool ride, qs an adult i know how lame it is, but its historical so tou don't trash it. The one in Santa Cruz is ikder and just better in all way, i was expecting a rougher ride than what it was seeing it was 99 years and a month old. Her first words afterwards was "i wanna ride Ghost Rider next time at Knott's" which we have season passes to. I couldn't have been prouder as a step father, Ghost Rider is honestly my favorite ride ever. So idk, Giant Dipper might have invoked something in a young child to become a coaster enthusiast. We will wait and see. Like i said earlier, i dont believe in forcing a child on a ride, simply suggest it, talk with them as much as they're willing to, and let their comfort level decide. Coasters are fun, i love them, but i remember being a kid being afraid of some of them. I know having good experiences lead me to become a coaster fan myself (magic mountain was my home park as a kid). Either way, i see youre a smaller channel, but putting in the grind and you got ablove of coasters. I respect that and decided to give a like and subscribe. Youre less annoying than that Torro guy and some of the other amusement oark and coaster vlogers.

Gilroy looks like a nice little family park. I can’t say much about it but if they were to get a newer family coaster like a Gravity Group then I’d be up to give it a visit.

however, it is true. i took a trip to cal for a week and decided to go here on my 3rd or 4th day. i had riden dip at belmont a few months ago and it was pretty underwhelming to me. when i rode this, it was such a surprise. that airtime is absolutely unexpected an i was happy to have it as my 109th credit in america. anyways keep up the good work gd!
